This was taken last May, while I was on my way back from Halong Bay – Hanoi, Vietnam. He was the first person I saw when I got out from the ferry. He sat on the lifebuoy in deep thoughts, looking afar. This was when I point my camera at him and took a shot of him secretly without him knowing. What’s more admirable than a person in deep thought?

This week’s photo challenge reminds me of a pleasant surprise my friend, Kha and I prepared over the week. For a friend who stays close to our hearts even though she’s far away from where we are now; 1,389 nautical miles (air miles) to be exact-the distance between Singapore and Hong Kong. I am thankful to known this friend for 11 years and counting.
